Event Description
Malpractice 2026: International Conference on Medical Malpractice in Obstetrics and Gynecology Beyoglu Türkiye

Malpractice 2026: International Conference on Medical Malpractice in Obstetrics and Gynecology will take place on 8-11 October 2026 in Istanbul, Turkiye, in a hybrid format. The conference is organized by the Balkan Academy of Forensic Sciences and is dedicated to one of the most important and sensitive areas of healthcare practice: medical malpractice in obstetrics and gynecology.

The conference will focus on the intersection of clinical practice, legal responsibility, forensic evaluation, patient safety, medical liability, and risk prevention. Obstetrics and gynecology is a field in which clinical decisions may have significant medical, ethical, legal, and social consequences. For this reason, Malpractice 2026 aims to create an international and multidisciplinary platform where professionals from different disciplines can discuss current challenges, share scientific knowledge, and contribute to safer healthcare practice.

The scientific program will include keynote lectures, scientific sessions, oral presentations, poster presentations, and panel discussions. Main topics will include malpractice claims in obstetrics and gynecology, medico-legal evaluation, expert witnessing, forensic medicine perspectives, clinical risk management, patient safety, informed consent, professional responsibility, medical liability, compensation systems, and prevention strategies.

Malpractice 2026 will bring together obstetricians, gynecologists, forensic medicine specialists, legal professionals, academics, healthcare administrators, policymakers, insurers, risk management experts, residents, fellows, and early career researchers. The hybrid format will allow both onsite and online participation, making the conference accessible to an international audience.

By encouraging dialogue between medicine, law, forensic sciences, and healthcare management, Malpractice 2026 aims to support better understanding of malpractice-related issues and promote safer, more accountable, and patient-centered clinical practice.
